I have a Pioneer Elite PRO610 RPTV, but I do not have true HDTV capability yet. I would appreciate any information and/or advice on compatible HDTV tuners/receivers/decoders. Pioneer makes one, but they still want $2,500 for it, which is more than a bit steep!

    Thanks

I have a Samsung, www.samsung.usa.com since November and am very happy with it. It is just over-the-air HD, no DSS. They are offering a $100 rebate thru January 31 and I just received my check today. It orig. had $7-800 list but can be purchased for the low to upper $500 range without the rebate. Here is the site for the tuner: http://www.samsungusa.com/cgi-bin/na...%2fHDTV+Tuners
It is $599.99 online at Samsung and here is there info on rebates/promotions:
