Well it seems my mind is made up on my new receiver, now I want a high quality DVD player. My TV is a Sony 53xbr300 has capability to do 1080I and 420P. Can I utilize progressive scan? I also would like 1 or 2 of the new audio formats. SACD and or DVD Audio. Any suggestions would be great. I have about 5-700 dollars to spend.

    Thanks in advance,

    Gregg

Look into the Panasonic RP-82 retails for 250 I think, RCWillies has it for $199 No chroma bug

Also take a look at the Toshiba 4800, both are great and probably the most talked about recently.

Yeah, I just picked up the RP-82, it won't play SACD, but fot the price you get a great player less SACD, IMO, grab an inexpensive SACD player in the future, cause all of the ones I read about have the chroma bug.
I paid 215$ shipped from amazon.

Guys thanks for the hints. Has anyone had any experience with the Toshiba SD9200? I am willing to spend money on a GOOD product and when I go out to shop I want to have a couple of options in my head so I do not waste mine or the salesmans time!!!
