Season 1 I'd pick up for Stephanie Beacham, and then after that forget it! (which was when I tuned out for good when it first aired).

This discussion came up not too long ago (I think it was right after Jonathan Brandis died). I'm sure you can find the thread in the archives to find out more opinions. My take: I'd buy only S1 (Another vote for Stephanie Beacham ).

I liked all the seasons for different reasons.

The first season was very scientific and I liked the crew(especially the Chief of the Boat). Great actor in my opinion. *cough* Plus, the Chief Engineer was cute.

Second season was more Scifi-ish and had more action in it.

Third season had Michael Ironsides. He's an excellent actor.
