SD vs. MMC (1 Viewer)

My daughter got a Kodak EasyShare camera for Xmas. It says it can take an SD or MMC card. What is ther difference? Is one preferable over the other and why? Or should I just find the most memory per dollar and not worry about which type?

Second question. She also got the Dock/Printer that comes with it. Does anyone have a good source for low price 3rd party paper and cartridges that will work in the Easy Share Series 3? The prices I'm finding for the Kodak stuff are kinda expensive.

SD is more prevalent, and probably cheaper too, byte for byte.
