I used to watch SCTV as a younger man.
Consider myself a fan.
There was one favorite bit that had
me howling every time I saw it.
The bit concerned some sort of nightclub act
(perhaps a parody of Frank Sinatra). It started
with these highly energetic backup singers
giving their all while basically supporting
the old tired male singer who just stood at
the microphone and mumbled his song.
Anyone remember this bit? Is it included
in any of the sets that are out now?
Also....
Just saw a snippet in this week's Entertainment
Weekly magazine concerning SCTV Season Three.
Looks like some great stuff in there, including
the addition of Martin Short. Had no idea that
Ed Grimley was created on SCTV. I thought that
was a SNL creation.
This looks like a set I will buy. I already
own Season one -- skipped Two -- but will probably
have to buy three.
Thanks in advance for your help.
