FYI for all your Scrubs fans! This is consistently one of the better comedies on TV.
Yep! The concept is fresh, the writing and execution innovative and the cast appealing. What’s not to like?
Season finale? Damn. It's gonna be a long summer.
Just wanted to chime in to say excellent episode, with subtle and delicate character development for all the main leads. Less comedic than some but some real laugh out loud moments too. Over all, and awesome way to go out. I like how they're doing one year equals one seaso, too.
That was the season end? Darn! I really like this show. The needle in the face and the "Candy Man" scenes were hillarious!
As was said before, "fresh and consistently funny". A well made show that I hope lasts a long time.
OMG! The tears running down Ted's face at the end were so funny. BERG! (The guy from "Two Guy and a Girl...")
Patrick: Ryan Reynolds also played the title role in "Van Wilder" and a bit part in the movie "Dick". He's a very funny guy. Unofficially, I think it's being renewed for next year, but that's not a definite. However, I remember reading somewhere that Scrubs is one of the shows that NBC is "grooming" to replace Friends once it ends (finally!). As far as I know, it's the only show that's managed to last two full seasons following Friends. Check out the show's official homepage @ http://www.scrubs-tv.com (it's really well done for an official page).
What a great episode. I'm saddened to hear that this was the season finale, but I really love how they resolved the baby issue. Great way to go out of the season. I hope they start releasing this show on DVD. I'll pick up the first two seasons in a heartbeat. Truly classic television. -greg
Somebody's started an online petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?94140 for Scrubs seasons (or at least episodes) on DVD.
Gawd I love this show. Soo sad that the season's already over. Really good episode last night. Loved the candy man parts. How much does a 2nd year resident make? I find it hard to believe that the janitor makes more scratch. Great show. I'm signing that petition. More Scrubs. More Scrubs.
Thomas, I actually am not very suprised at all that a janitor could make more than a medical resident. Residents are paid extremely poorly, especially considering the hours they work. I know... My wife is a 2nd year resident.
Wow didn't know that. I knew that they didn't make much and the real money doesn't start rolling in till actually establish a practice. I didn't think they made that little though. Crazy stuff. If you don't mind me asking, how much does a 2nd year resident make? (Feel free not to answer) Thanks Andrew.
i bet the janiter makes tons of overtime $.
Scrubs was all over the scheduling map in its first season (starting out on Tuesdays). It wasn't until this season that Scrubs was situated in the coveted spot after Friends.
I don't wanna say anything, lest I jinx anything.. But there is no way this series has anything but a long, bright future. It's just too fresh and hilariously funny and off-key.. Mind you, I could have said the same about Andy Richter Controls the Universe, or Family Guy (ok - that might be stretching it.. ).
It seems pretty obvious that barring some horrible miscue with the writing team, Scrubs is headed for 8 pm when Friends is gone. At one time Will and Grace might have made that move, but their show is older and to be honest not nearly as funny as Scrubs. Holy Shit is the janitor hilarious. Easily my favorite character. I loved the episode where he got offended at being called "dumb" and acted stupid for the rest of the show. It's also amazing how good they are at shifting between funny and serious.
This show has become my favorite comedy, one that consistently has me laughing out loud. I love Dr. Cox, he kills me. And Kate from Drew Carey (is that show still on?). Loved seeing Berg on there, and Ed earlier this season. As for medical residents, I guess it is all relative. My girlfriend is starting a residency in June/July, and every place she interviewed paid the first years about $40,000.00. Some of the second year residents moonlighted and doubled that salary. Not so shabby. If I could make that as a janitor, I'd pick up a mop tomorrow.
