Me too, except that I forgot the whole, you can just guess one shot thing, until after the clues had come out.

Jon, I should have 5pts. You have me listed twice.

Think I've got this one, even though I haven't seen the movie in shot 3A.

The Clues:

Shot 3A: The plot of this movie is based on a bedtime story the author wrote for his kids.

Shot 3B: Elaine Benes was taken to a stage production of this film by the close talker.

Answers and next round tomorrow morning.

I haven't seen "Lady in the Water" but that "My Fair Lady" shot really threw me off. For whatever reason, my internal date-o-meter put as a 1990s flick and I didn't consider anything older than that. :)

It's funny, the thing that gave my fair lady away for me is the strange hat that Eliza's dad is wearing. I forever will remember thinking as a kid how odd it was and I noticed it in the picture.

it was the costume design on Eliza's dad as well that made me think of My Fair Lady, and then I thought, construction? and then the whole damn song and sequence came back to me. a quick imdb search of lady came up with lady in the water high on the list and I knew I'd seen the shot before so that nailed the other shot for me.

This one I'm reasonably sure I've seen both films, with two guesses for each, but I can't for the life of my confirm either and neither matches with any of the others, so I know I've got them all wrong or at least one wrong. :p

I still can't get over how recent that screenshot makes My Fair Lady look! :)

The clues:

Shot 4A: Al Pacino has said that this sports movie is his favorite film. Look closely to see a very well-known actor early in his career.

Shot 4B: The title is a reference to James Bond, who was once referred to as “Mr. (title)”. It is also the title of a book about movies.

This one is driving me nuts!!! I feel like I should know both of them and I feel like the clues should help, but I am just getting further from the answer.

I haven't seen 4a so I didn't recognize it, but once you know 4b, 4a is pretty much the only possible choice. :)

Regarding #4: That's "Crazy-Legs" DeNiro in the blue suit.

Congrats to Ray H for being the only one receiving 4 points this round.

I expect lots of 4-pointers for #5.

The Clues:

5A: Some of the profits from Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” were invested in the making of this film.

5B: This film inspired a Broadway musical in which the characters and setting were Americanized.

Let's take an Easter break - Come back Monday morning for round 6.

Happy Easter!

Jon
