Screenshot #6 Answer: Brokeback Mountain (2005)
Clue: Dudes
Comment: A pretty modern-looking cowboy movie with a shadowy figure looking all bummed out; shouldn’t have been too difficult to guess this one. Should it? I really like the way this shot is framed, especially with the clouds and the tree.

Screenshot #7 Answer: With Six You Get Eggroll (1968)
Clue: Day (as in Doris)
Comment: I dunno, I was just looking for something a bit offbeat. I know this one isn’t figure-out-able if you’ve not seen the movie, but the hippies are such caricatures and the shot is so bizarre that I couldn’t resist. Not something you see every day.

If I had a good funny title I'd send another in, but I only got funny captions for this one, like:

"Water? I said I was thirsty, not dirty!"

Screenshot #8 Answer: The Four Seasons (1981)
Clue: Hotel
Comment: A nicely-framed scene, full of clues. The Four Seasons is, I think, a relatively forgotten movie. However, I suspect it wouldn’t be too difficult for the eagle-eyed to ID Alan Alda within the life preserver, particularly if you’re a M*A*S*H-aholic.

Am I the only one that tried Googling on Sandavore, Sandavore+Movie, Sandavore+Film, etc. and came up empty?

I did learn a good deal about Scottish yachting though.

Personally, I believe googling is contrary to the spirit of these challenges. Any doof can google a boat name. :P

I hate to give up a point, but I guessed Four Rooms, not Four Seasons.

I don't see how anyone could possibly tell that's Alan Alda.

The current one is driving me crazy.

Screenshot #9 Answer: Bonnie & Clyde (1967)
Clue: Banks
Comment: I wanted to include this film, because it’s one of my favorites. I didn’t want to go the obvious visual route showing gunplay, banks, etc. I found this quiet, tender moment and consider it a great addition to the challenge.

Screenshot #10 Answer: The Straight Story (1999)

Clue:
Brothers
Comment: Another favorite of mine. Because this is a lesser-known (and seen) movie, I chose a (wonderfully composed) shot that is pretty representative of the story. The vintage of the truck may have led you astray. Gotta love the way he’s holding onto the tractor’s steering wheel with one hand and his hat with the other. If you haven’t seen this film, do so! You’ll come back to thank me.
