I could do the math myself, but I'm sure someone else already has. [IMG]

    If I have a 50" 4:3 screen, what should I consider to be a comparable 16:9 TV?

A 50" 4x3 screen is 30" high and 40" wide so if you want to maintain the 4x3 size on your 16x9 screen, you need a 16x9 TV that is 30" high by 53" wide or 61" diagonal. You are halfway between a 56" and a 65" 16x9 TV.

    65" it is, then. [IMG]

I'll plant that bug in the wife's ear now. Even though I'm a year or two away from seriously thinking about it.
