TV is a Panasonic 53WX42, Gregg Loewen did the calibration on Thursday 10/17. DVD source is a Panasonic RP82 in Cinema 1 mode.
Photo was taken with a Sony DSC-F717 digital camera on a tripod. 1.25 second exposure, no flash.
Image downsized to 33% of original in Photoshop.
I'm impressed! Thanks again for the good work, Gregg.

That looks pretty good especially when blown up like that. Pity there were no before shots too.

Josh - I have the same tv and dvd player as you. I'm forgetting at the moment, but is Cinema 1 on the tv or the dvd player? On my tv I just use Standard and my settings set up accordingly. I haven't really played with the settings on my dvd player. Just set it up for progressive scan.

Looks great Josh! I actually purchased the same set yesterday with Gregg's help (long story)[IMG] and I think it looks great out of the box. I can't wait to see the results once Gregg gets his hands on it for the first time!

Wow, looks pretty sweet. I would love to see what my Sony 51hw40 would look like calibrated. I have to start doing some research to see who will be coming near my area on a tour in the near future.

Looks great dude! I wonder if getting any HDTV would be worth it. Is it a night and day difference? Here's a pic of my Mits WS-65869 with a still shot, my camera isn't that great, so the pic doesn't do the set justice. Damn glare in the background too! [IMG]
