I am not sure if this belongs here, if not feel free to move it.

My Infocus 5000 is scheduled for delivery today. I still have my Infocus 4805 at the house waiting on a RMA ticket(RBE for the wife). I am toying with the idea of taking pictures from both devices for side by side evaluations for the thread Eric L. started.

Any recommendations on the settings of my cannon A70 camera for best results? I have a tripod and I can make the basement pitch black at night time.

Use the timer to eliminate camera shake caused by pushing the button. Use the manual setting with the flash disabled. You might also try the night setting.

For the best results you might try "bracketing" your exposure.

As stated you need the manual mode with no flash. Than start by adjusting the shutter open time higher then lower for each shot.

So in a roll of 24 frames you would really be taking 8 pictures with a higher than a lower for shutter speed.

    Hopr this helps.
