Does anyone know if scream will be re-released on region 2 anytime soon? The current trilogy boxset only has the final movie in anamorphic, which seems crazy. I know the region 1 at least had the last two movies anamorphic so surely it would not have been too difficult to supply 3 enhanced presentations.

...the French DVD features an anamorphic 2.35:1 transfer AND an English dts soundtrack ... AND 'locked' French subtitles...

I haven't read anything about a reissue of the box set in R2 but Scream 1 is anamorphic and includes both the theatrical and the uncut NC-17 versions in Japan.

Unfortunately this Japanese release has the 5.1 English track encoded at only 320kbps, and quite frankly it sounds nasty as a result.
