Of all the sword & sorcery films, I think this one is the most fun & closest to the spirit of the genre. Since I read the news, I've had David Whitaker's catchy score going around in my head (I have the score on CD, I'll have to dig it out) I had the Anchor Bay DVD, which was sort of VHS quality, so I hope this film gets a region B release.

If you're only concerned about the movie - the 4K would be ALL Region .

I haven't seen this film in ages. I recall enjoying the theatrical viewing, but less so on DVD due (as I recall) to a pretty bad video presentation. This might be worth seeing again if the video is cleaned up and recreates the theatrical exhibition. There are a number of dark scenes in the film and they really looked muddy on the DVD (once again as I recall.)

Whomever wrote that press release should have mentioned Richard Lynch who specialized in playing the scummiest of villains, and his Cromwell in this film was one of the more memorable characters in the feature.

Yeah, but a wee bit expensive with the price of the 4K plus p&p to the UK plus tax. I'll wait & hope for a European release, probably not the UK, but a real possibility for Germany or France. And no matter how it looks, it has to look better than the DVD.

Four words that strike fear into the heart of every cinema fan: directed by Albert Pyun. Some things are better left as memories.

Ha, another opinion. I think this film is a lot of fun, very enjoyable. I saw the Schwarzenegger Conan the other week: what a borefest (the 2011 remake is so much more fun). I have the Anchor Bay S & S DVD, which is pretty much unwatchable on todays big TV screens, I hope this new transfer gets a European B release.
