I am sorry if this has been discussed. And if it is. Just delete this thread. But, I picked up the dvd today and just noticed it came in an alpha style case and not in the crappy cardboard case. And this is a Warner release. Is this a new thing for them or just an exception.

Warner has largely phased out the cardboard "snappers" in favor of the keep cases. It has been discussed at great length, so I expect this thread will quickly be locked.

I think the last movie they released in snapper format was Mystic River. I guess they felt Scooby Doo deserved more than that.

It's been a while since I last purchased a WB title in a snapper. Must've been their last batch of Best Picture Winners, together with My Fair Lady SE. Looks like for a pretty long while it's been keepcases exclusively.
