OK, I searched for this, and really found nothing. If it has been discussed, sorry for the wasted bandwidth.

I picked up the WS addition of School of Rock last night at my local WalMart, and when I got it open, discovered that there was no booklet or insert in the case.

I thought, surely there should be, and went back to swap it. Unfortunately, the replacement copy I pulled off the shelf also lacked a booklet.

So, can anyone confirm or deny the existence of a disc insert for the WS version of SoR?

Side note: For unknown reasons, my WalMart actually had the WS addition about a buck cheaper than the P&S.

Score one for the good guys! If WalMart keeps that up, there going to ruin their reputation.

I don't think School of Rock comes with an insert. Mine doesn't.

Booklets are a thing of the past unfortunately.

    Thanks!

While most are somewhat useless (1 page chapter lists, for example) some are pretty good. Other than some bargain basement titles, I don't recall too many discs that do without.

Yeah, it kinda freaked me out too. I can't think of a new release that was ever missing the insert.

The first time I ran across discs w/o booklets was when I bought a 2-pack from Best Buy. It was The Fast and the Furious and Scarface. I thought maybe they didn't include them in the 2-pack discs.

the canadian R1 hasn't got one either.
seems to be the latest trend. I guess the studios can't afford a sheet of paper anymore. Then again as long as they don't cantain any additional info they are imo pretty useless anyway.

Actually with this title, I was hoping they would include a fold out of the flow chart that Jack Black drew on the blackboard showing how all the rock bands inter-relate.

It was only on screen for a short time, but like everything about this film, they seemed to really get some of the details right.

Brian that would have been a great extra. But it would involve people actually thinking about it. and nowadays DVD is not for the collector anymore but for joe public and he/she probably missed that chart anyway.

Paramount seems to have done away with inserts...

As for the flow chart, it's on the disc as a DVD ROM extra.

    Thats great!

We just got done watching the movie, and I have to say its a pretty decent transfer. And while there is not a lot of low bass, there are some moments were the music has a great low end presence.

For whatever reason, Jack Black is one of those actors that makes me laugh just to look at him.

Paramount, Universal and Disney no longer include inserts. Studios would like you to use the "Scene Selection" menu [IMG]
