Hello all. This is my first time posting. I have a DVD player that says it has a PAL convertor. Is that all I need to play PAL DVD's? Will the DVD play normal? Any help is appreciated.

A quick Google search brings up a couple of forum posts confirming that the Koss KD305 does indeed convert PAL to NTSC, so yes, it is all you will need to play PAL discs. "You've taken your first step into a larger world", or words to that effect.

The PAL converter will NOT, on its own, allow the unit to play R2 DVD's - if the unit is R1.

    What's the case?
