I was just on the UK website & saw D-VHS Recorder which says no loss of picture quality when recording & it records for 7 hours at the SP speed & is compatible with VHS & S-VHS and it has a IEE 1394 DV input. Din't see any price though? Wonder if we will be getting anything like this until the price of dvd recorders come down?

That whole DVD-Recorder and D-VHS recording is a gray area. I don't understand why it hasn't catch on as I thouught it would. The only thing that stopping me from getting a D-VHS from Dish Network is the fact that I don't have the money and it's not as flexible as the S-VHS models from JVC (7900 & 9800) that has S-VHS et, DNR functions on S-VHS and VHS recorded tapes.
