What an evil show! They pick people who want to scare their friends have to death and do just that. The first idea was the best;

a group of 4 friends set 2 people up on a date (who are the vitims). They are on the way to a party out in the desert but then a weird electrical storm pops up and the car starts acting all crazy.

The car stops working, the storm really picks up and an ALIEN comes running out towards the car, rips the driver door off its hinges and throws the friend to the ground. The victim couple in the backseats bolt out the door and run like hell.

I captured it if anyone hasn't seen it yet, and there are several other skits that are pretty damn scary too. But any thoughts or opinions on the practices of this show? This, PUNK'D, Conan, and Letterman are pretty much the only TV I watch.

I liked the show quite a bit, especially the first one.I loved how the guy bolted, but the girl was left in the car. She was just FREAKING OUT.

My only complaint is that they should reduce the scares to 3 per episode, and let the 4th scare be replaced by time for post-scare discussion. I'd love to ehar more about what the victims were thinking. As it is not, it's just over and they're asked like "How do you feel?". The reaction is the central part of the show, they should spend more time talking about it.

But I'll be watching anyway, it was a fun show. :)

I seem to remember reading somewhere that one of the women who fell victim to the alien joke was bringing a legal case against the producers ( can't remember where I saw this story so I've no link ).
I haven't seen the show myself as it hasn't aired over here yet, but isn't scaring people slightly dangerous? I mean, what if one of the victims has a heart problem? And bad scares can leave psychological scars - even if the person is later told it was all a joke.

Sean-

The people are, AFAIK, set up by their friends, so if they have some sort of preexisting physical or psychology problem, they probably would find out about it and not do it.

Heh, I also caught this show. Some of the bits missed (didn't like the buried alive bit) but some were absolute blasts: camp site, hitchhiker, for instance. Just totally mean ... yet so fun!

And I agree, they should have some "post-scare" interviews and limit to 3 per episode.

Yeah, I was laughing even harder when the victim started to beat up the hitchhiker in that scare.

This was a great show, and I can't wait to see it again. The hitchhiker, medical experiment, and cabin psycho were all my favorites.

You could tell these people were genuinely scared with good reason. Unlike that MTV show from a year ago...

I noticed all the victems were young people. I think older people wouldn't be as receptive to this idea, and are more likely to sue. I would be mad if I was the subject of one of these, but it's fun watching other people suffer.

I saw them as well. Isn't Shannen Doherty a treat? She is quite a survivor, knowing how unceremoniously dumped she was from her last TV show. ;)

The best scare was during the skit where the woman thought she saw Shannen getting kidnapped. In a way, those dudes should have acted that out better but the assistant was what made that stunt work. :D

I'm going to be a dental hygennn....
:D :emoji_thumbsup: Great stuff. For my money, the summer camp and the camping trip topped the list but the medical experiment comes in a close second. There were definitely a couple of misses but overall I thought both shows were very strong. My only fear is that the material will start heading down hill from here.

I'd like to see some longer pranks with some more elaborate effects - some fake blood and a torn shirt isn't going to fool everyone all the time. Or maybe not... :D I'll be watching to find out!

I loved the hitchhiker scare too. When he started pounding on the "killer" (and MAN did he pound!), I was thinking "now THAT is the kind of friend I'd want in a situation like that". :)

What was mentioned above, what if one of the victims have a gun or some other weapon to defend themselves? I would assume that the "accomplice" has already been instructed to deal with that beforehand though.

There are some lines I hope they don't cross. I hope they never do any of the scares in the victim's "regular environment" such as at work or at home. I think that could definitely be a dangerous situation. Otherwise, IMO, I don't see anything really wrong with this. We all like to be scared, don't we? :)

Agreed Patrick. I saw the commercial for it and thought it had lawsuit written all over it.

It's okay. Better than shit like The Bachelor, that's for sure! The guy "in" on the bigfoot one was grinning like an idiot through the whole thing and I would have thought that gave it away.

Someone said this show is great?
HUH?

This show sounds so horrible and that it's on the "Sci Fi" channle is even worse.

I think it's hilarious. If someone did this to me, I'd be mad, but I'd also have a sense of humor about it. If someone gets really mad after being scared, chances are they'll do the skit to someone else and not air the first one.

And also, all of the people on the show were set up by their friends, so it's not like some other shows where they pick random people.
