is there a better video scaler for under 2k, than the one that would come in a runco cl710 or sharp 12k.

or would you need to spend 3to5k to get a better picture
than what these projectors would produce with quality calibration.

I'm not familiar with the scaler in the runco, but there is a new model out from DVDO called the iScan Ultra HD that costs $1499 new and is getting rave reviews. There are some detailed threads on this on AVS Forum.
