With each month, it looks like we are getting ever closer to the reality of a private, manned, suborbital spacecraft taking flight to the very edge of the starry abyss. And, as you can read in the linked article, Burt Rutan's SpaceShipOne just might take the coveted X-Prize within two or three months.

Is this an exciting era or what?

Thanks so much for the link, Jack. I love hearing about this sort of thing. The X prize is more exciting that the Kremer prize. :)
