AVR...Audio/Video Receiver...also know as, your SC25.
Are your fronts set Large or Small?
Are you currently playing music that has information under 50hz?

Well...
Frame of reference here. I just turned on some NIN on Pandora with my Onkyo SR707(which is set up, 40hz main, 80hz center, 40hz surround and 100hz width) via my Blackberry and the current song is Head Like a Hole...
The subwoofer(which is a very large M&K) is bored...sitting there in the corner.
Sound mode of PLII Music DSX(width).

Now when I switch to a real source...not "web via a phone"...
CD player connected toslink playing Crystal Method "It Hertz"(extended version) using the same sound mode...
The M&K is partying like a rockstar.

If you have a CD of something "bassy"...throw that in your BD/DVD player(side note, if you have one, connect a toslink/digital coax because "just audio" over HDMI tends to miss a few seconds of each track) and see what happens.

By the way, a brief explanation why people who enjoy music still listen to CD and LP...
