Count me in as one who thinks that french computer terminology sounds horrible.
While I don't mind pronouncing acronyms in french (Céde, Dévédé) but don't change them to match what the translated name is. I get confused when I see CDs being refered to as DCs (Disque Compactes) I just hope they don't do that to DVDs, let's see Digital Video Disk, so that would be Disque Video Numerique. So if they do, all DVD cases sold in Quebec will have to have the DVD logo in french (DVN). Just think how horrible that would sound if someone would say "Ouais, je me suis acheter Le Seigneur Des Anneaux: Les 2 Tours en DVN aujourd'hui!" (which means "Yeah, I just bought Lord Of The Rings: The 2 Towers on DVD today!")
I still refer to e-mails as e-mails even in french, but those I really hate are Browser and Download, they sound like shit in french!
I kinda like how they translated FAQ and RTFM though, at least the letters are the same!
