I just got home with my Saved By The Bell: The College Years DVDs. I wish Lions Gate would have put as much effort into the packaging of seasons 1-4 that Image Entertainment put into this set. I haven't watched any of the eps yet, but thought I'd share some pics.

First two pictures shows the disc holder and the slipcase it comes in.

The back of the slipcover has a synopsis of the show, while the back of the disc holder tells you which episodes are on each disc, and tells you the five different chapter stops per episode.

When you open the holder you're given the contents of each disc again, with airdate and synopsis of each episode.

These last two show the contents of disc 3, disc art, and the art behind the discs which I believe is taken from the intro sequence.

It really is a shame that the Lions Gate packaging doesn't come close to this, but I'm glad they did get the ball rolling on the release of this series.

    I agree!
Love how it has a slipcase and more detailed info.

Just be careful not to rip the paper when opening! I did that on the seasons 1 and 2 release. [IMG]

Ya Ryan, that did suck with seasons 1/2. I know 3/4 didn't have the problem, and with this set, there wasn't anything attatched to the packaging either.

I have to agree. Many kudos to IMAGE. They always do such a stellar job w/their releases. This is no exception. Lion's gate has MUCH to learn from Image Entertainment...

It's a good box but I sure wish we had some extra's....even a interview with Dustin Diamond?

By the way does anyone know what will happen with the 2 Saved by the bell Movies? The Wedding Movie really wraps up all the storylines.

    Ray-

We can only hope if the sales are good, that we can get the movies... Of course I would pay for them... [IMG] Me thinks it will be a flipper disc like with Revenge of the Nerds.

On a side note, my grandfather by marriage was at one of the casinos they filmed "Wedding" at, and can be seen on camera for a few moments. [IMG]

Strange that we still don't have the rest of the episodes from Saved by the Bell. There should be one more set, I think.

I was thinking the same thing. Although the final season of SBTB is many people's least favorite, the collection would hardly seem complete without it. I've actually held off on buying the other sets until I receive word that the remaining episodes will be released. I also wouldn't mind the "Good Morning Miss Bliss" series, but I can't see that happening anytime soon.

The last set to be released is infact Season 5. With about the same amount of episodes as the previous set. Lion's Gate has said in the past, it will be released, but this is Lion's Gate whom we all loathe...

Dustin Diamond said on his website a while back that he recorded a couple commentaries for Season 5... so I think it's just a matter of time.

In my perfect world, they would offer the fans outer slipcases to put our sets in... ugh!

The interesting thing is, is that the episodes are not in order, at least a lot of them. I read that some episodes on the second release (3 and 4) had season 5 episodes... Maybe it was hogwash, but it is something to think about.

The 5th season with Torrie and the Beach thing was just more reason not to continue on with the show. Afterall, how many proms can one group of kids have? Will I buy it? You know I will!

The New Class and Good Morning, Miss Bliss are probably not going to come out, but man I would love them. To see Mikey and Tommy D... that would be grand.

Well Ryan, it's a well-known fact that the SBTB episodes are screwed up, both on DVD and as originally aired. This show should be seen in production order to maintain continuity and proper season division.

I picked up my copy today and agree with everyone here on how nice this release looks compared to the previous two releases. I wish they would release the "Good Morning Mrs Bliss" series and the two saved by the bell movies. Does anyone happen to know where I can find a list order for seasons one to four?. Does anyone also know if The College Years episodes are in order unlike the previous releases?.

I am assuming Image (who releaed TCY) used the order that made the most sense, unlike Lions Gate (who released regular SBTB sets) who chose to order them by the highly-illogical airdates.

I love saved by the bell have the 1/2 and 3/4 sets and hopefully christmas will bring college years. My 12 yr brother loves watching the show with me. We laugh about how messed up the episode order is sometimes even 2 parters have an episode between them. I would love the movies and Good Morning Miss Bliss. Don't care for the new years since the kid turnover was so high.
