I was just considering switching to satellite until I found out my local cable provider (Charter Comm.) offers most if not ALL of the season sports packages that the satellite networks offer. Anyone else out there know if their cable companies do this?? With the addition of HDTV to their system in the coming months, staying with cable is a no-brainer! NO EQUIPMENT TO BUY!

Wow. Do you work for the cable company or something? You even use their moto!

Cable can't offer Sunday Ticket, that's it. But I think DTVs contract is up this year for that.

You've been able to get all those sports packages on cable for a number of years. Pretty much anywhere that has digital cable can offer them.

One reason I'm inclined to stay with DTV is the box. It's not perfect, by any means, but it (Hughes E86) certainly blows away any cable box I've ever used. And the service is cheaper, and has better PQ (which says something about how horrendous cable looks around here.)
