Hi

I need some info, hope someone can help me. I live in Montreal, Canada. I'm right now with Videotron and their analog cable system. I'm planning to switch to Bell Expressvu( which is satellite TV). Videotron is using coaxial cable RG65, Bell Expressvu is using coaxial cable RG9( which I'm told is bigger). I would like to know if I can use my old cable RG65 from Videotron to hook up with Bell Expressvu. Someone told me it's possible but I might burn my cable in the long-term...TIA for your help

Here is an idea of wire sizes.

RG-59 20 gauge

RG-6 18 gauge

RG-7 16 gauge

RG-11 14 gauge

There is really no problem using 59 cable for satellite as long is the cable run is less than 100'. If its any longer use at least rg-6.
