    Hey ya'll...

Although this has been available forever on vhs...seems like the Canadians are getting a R1 version of it on March 15th. It's full screen and doesn't appear to have any extras but it's FINALLY on DVD!!! And very cheap at that!

Her newer Afterglow Live concert DVD is a better audio/video presentation, IMO. The video is anamorphic widescreen, and the 5.1 audio does not suffer from the annoying echo effects of Mirrorball.

I agree that the 5.1 soundtrack on Mirrorball is overprocessed, but the 2.0 sounds great to my ears.

    Regards,

FYI this is the SECOND Canada-only release for Sarah. The other is a documentary (a great one, at that!).

It's a pretty good little concert/doc. The studio stuff is also live and quite good -- the versions of Mary and Path of Thorns are really great. The live studio stuff sounds like it's from the same sessions that produced The Freedom Sessions EP.

Don't know how the DVD looks or sounds, I watched this on Pay Per View back when it originally aired (shortly after seeing Sarah live at Convocation Hall, U of T). Damn, that was a long time ago.

That would be 1994/95. So...yeah. A loooooong time ago [IMG]

Maybe this is the 10th anniversary edition. Either way, VERY happy about this.

Can't wait to see some cover art. I'm assuming they'll use the same VHS artwork.

Geez, it was a decade ago? I feel positively elderly. At least my memory isn't going.

I have Mirrorball and I love the set, but the 5.1 mix isn't the best. I saw her on that tour and loved it, and that DVD does a pretty good job of conveying what the show was like. Also saw her on the Afterflow tour too, a different but still very good show (have that DVD too).

It'll be R1/NTSC, but it'll be available as an import from Canada, that is all.
