Hi,
Been a while since I was last here. Still a great forum!!
Anyway, I was wondering whether my Sanyo PLV-Z2 projector mated to an HD-DVD player will provide me the visual performance worthy of purchasing an HD DVD player?
So anyone with experience with either a Z-1 or Z-2 mated to an HD DVD player... please provide info.

Thanks!!

For the PLV-Z1, no. The 'Z1 is a standard def. projector.

For the PLV-Z2 it depends on how well the player model you choose converts 1080i or 1080p (depending on the disk) to 720p. For 1080i (non-film) disks hardly anything other than certain stand alone de-interlacers converts to 720p well.

You may find an HD DVD player worthwhile anyway, if DVD titles you want are only in HD DVD format.

(I have not auditioned any of the aforementioned equipment.)
