Now that I have my LG 42LC7D mounted I am having an issue with the IEC power cable. I can only tilt the TV a small amount because the power cable plugs into the TV low on the backside. I tilt the TV a small amount and the power cable is hitting the wall. Will a 90° plug help to alleviate this problem? Box out the wall so the cable end gets recessed? Any other options?

I think a 90 degree plug like this will help a little but you still have to deal with the plug sticking out a small amount. I think your best bet would be notching the wall there or extending the wall mount out from the wall. A few layers of 3/4" plywood cut to match the shape of the mount would help a lot.
