These are both in my budget of $1100 and seem to both have good reviews. Looking for any feedback or recommendation for either one. I am not concerned with sound quality from the tv, and the viewing area will mostly be dim lighting. Any feedback appreciated! Thanks

I looked on rtings.com and that TV has no local dimming. I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft smart remote with voice commands. I just bought a UN65JU7100 and it has some darn amazing inky black levels with that dimming thing and I wanna dip my feather pin IN that screen!!

Yeah some websites have it at 120HZ , while others have it at 60HZ. So thats not confusing at all...

I have a Vizio M-series (M70-D3) and have been very pleased with the display. I think the picture quality is excellent. Vizio's support has impressed me, as well. They continued making improvements and added features via firmware long after the model was introduced. Vizio even provided a new remote control at no cost to me for support of the added features they added to the display.

I also recently bought a Samsung display for our bedroom -- a UN49MU8000F. I found the Samsung much more difficult to calibrate. I finally got an acceptable picture quality, but it just lacks that "wow" factor of the Vizio. For what it's worth, the Samsung's built-in speakers actually sound quite good for TV speakers -- we do not have any sound system in our bedroom. I have no idea how the Vizio sounds, as that display is in our main home theater.
