My old ipad2 is about to blow a gasket. We have the gs3 so seemed logical to get a Samsung Tablet.

I see there are several different ones and maybe something called a Nexus?

Looks like a new Nexus is about to release but there is a Tab 2 and Tab 3, a Note and the Nexus.

We probably should have wifi plus 3g/4g and no smaller the 10".

I'm having some issues figuring out the diffrences between the different Samsung tablets
so looking for some advice.

Maybe a nice Mod can move this over to that forum.

Sorry Tony, I only have the old Nexus 7 and you seemed to be leaning towards the Samsungs, I don't have any of those and can't comment. The new Nexus 7 looks like a terrific deal if you don't want to stick with iOS tho!

I recommend the Nexus models over Samsung's. It is generally much easier to get software updates and the performance is slightly better.

I'll look at the nexus but I think it's too small.iPad is a nice size and the Tab/note both have a 10" size.Thinking about the one with the s-pen

Maybe you like this idea. Asus has their tab that works like the one in the "Why is everybody dancing?" ad.The kicker for Asus though, their keyboard is a dock stand, complete with a bunch of USB, HDMI and everything else. The Prices were $350 and $400.Tempted to get one.

I promise, if they have a Nexus out I will look at it.Still too small though. The tablet/pad works as my laptop so small is a very low low option for me.

The Nexus 10 is a 10.1" stock Android tablet made by Samsung. No stylus, but higher res screen than the iPad and pretty good reviews. However, this is a wifi only model. There are only a handful of Android tablets that are 3G/4G capable, and that varies by carrier.

Personally, I'm holding out for the 12.2" Android tablet Samsung is coming out with. If they can get it under 2lbs, I'm there.

If they could make a 24" tablet under 2 lbs, I'd go for that instead.
