Samsung HL-S5687W bulb dead after 2 months old. Help needed!! (1 Viewer)

My buddie just bought this tv 2months ago and the bulb is already dead. He called circuit city yesterday and they told him a tech couldn't make it until next week then they would have to order a bulb that would take 5-7 business days then schedule another appointment which would take another week. Then proceeded to tell him that after everything he should expect his tv to be down for 4-5 weeks.

I told him thats unacceptable for a brand new tv. What course of action have some of you took with CC to get them to react to your needs faster?

Why not try Samsung? It's still under their warranty and they'd likely even have the parts.
