I have a trade show coming up where we need to hook up a laptop to a large monitor for display purposes (mainly software demos). The hire charges for these monitors are absolutely huge so I figure a viable alternative may be to purchase a DLP TV such as the Samsung HLN437W 43" for example, use it at the trade show for the demos and then take it home and use it as my new TV. The only problem is that I am not sure if this type of TV would be adequate to use as a monitor for the trade show display purposes. Comments/advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

David

Yes, it will do fine. The TV has a 15-pin VGA (2 of them, actually). I plug a laptop into mine on occassion and it works just dandy.

If you have a PC with a DVI capable video card it's even better. For a while I was playing Unreal Tournament on my Samsung DLP and it was freakin' awesome.
