Samsung DLP Stuck mirror - question (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I have a Samsumg DLP 61". It is about a year old now.

I notice, on close up inspection, that one "pixel" does not seem to work correctly. I don't notice it from my seating position - about 2.5 screen lengths - so it isn't that big of a deal but I am curious if it is the start of a larger problem.

I guess the questions I have are:

1) Is this something I can fix? Is there a reset button or can I check the chip for dust or dirt particals or something like that?

2) If one mirror goes, can I expect more to go?

3) Any one out there have a similar problem? What did you do to rememdy the problem?

Thanks very much for any and all comments

Regards,

Dave

One or two is certainly no big deal. It is fairly common. The manufacturer usually has a threashold for servicing it under warranty though. Varies per display and maker.

No matter what, don't even think about doing ANYTHING with the chip (with the mirrors)

Be like cracking open the CPU in your computer to try and fix it.

If it doesn't bother you, just keep using and enjoying your TV.

As for other mirrors going, no idea, maybe, maybe not.
