I'm setting everything up after lots of rewiring and snakes wires in the wall. Sheetrock repair to due having to move wires and such. Spackled painted and now getting ready to hook stuff up. I upgraded from 6.1 to 5.1.2 Atmos. Running Denon 3500x, Klipsch speakers. And svs dual 12 in sub. My question is since I will be running all the HDMI thru the Denon to the arc HDMI on the tv. All the sources will be using the same HDMI channel on the tv. The only 4k source I have( other then streaming) is the 4k blueray player. My tv manual says to only set the udh to on for udh sources. So if I turn udh on it the HDMI channel on the tv it will be on also for cable TV.. and whatever else I have running thru that hdmu port that isn't 4k. Has anyone seen any problems with it being on looking at say regular cable? I havent tested it yet.. just wondering

I haven't tried that. Some TVs only support full 4K HDR signals on certain HDMI inputs. If that is the case for your TV you may find that your ARC input isn't one (check your manual). If there are problems, you may just have to flip the setting on or off for 4K sources, or set your AVR to upscale to 4K if it supports it.

Samsung TVs also have a "fake" HDR (supposedly for non-HDR signals) that should be turned OFF.

i ended up running everything thru hdmi 1 (non- arc) and running optical to receiver. Since the only thing i needed sound out from the tv was netflix/amazon. i leave HDR on hdmi 1 and it doesn't seem to mess with the picture at all for non HDR content
