Been having an issue hooking up an HDMI switch device to a Samsung 4k TV. The problem is the TV only has 3 HDMI inputs and I need four. I tried an old switch device I had and it didn't work, so I chalked that up to old equipment and bought a new, 4k-compatible HDMI switch device. Still doesn't work. Samsung Help is no help. From my reading, it seems Samsung TVs have an HDMI auto-detect feature that people have been clamoring for them to allow users to disengage.
Anyone have any info on this? Any way to by pass the auto-detect (which will only detect devices directly plugged into the TV)?
