Well I have dual SVS 20-39cs w/S700 amp coming. My question is, do you leave the power on all the time to the amp. I'm thinking about pluging it in to my panamax delayed turn on outlets I have two of them I'm not using.

Or do you just turn it on & off as you use it.

    Pete,

I leave mine on all the time but certainly using a remote/delay turn on should work well too. I don't think it draws much when the amp isn't making bass, but cycling it on for each movie shouldn't harm it.

    Ron,

How warm does the S700 get. Will I be able to get away with

putting a BFD Eq on top of it. Thanks

    Pete,

I have never even felt my Samson get mildly warm. The fans are very quiet but they do a good job. The case never get's above room temp in my experience.

How safe is it to use the X-10 remote/appliance module with amplifiers? I have the Marantz MM9000 (170watts/5channels) and am planning on getting the Samson 1000 for 2 SVS Ultras. Would the appliance module be safe for such high powered amps, or would it "starve" them at all? It would be convenient to use the X-10.
