There are several threads about the Sampo 16x9 34" at the AVS forum. Do a search. IMHO, the most informative is the link: Fantastic New Flat Faced 34" HDTV Monitor started by Gary Merson, who authors several HDTV publications.
My second HDTV purchased was the Sampo, and it rivals the performance of the Sony KW34HD1 (My first 34" 16x9 HDTV). It betters the Sony's native 1080i by providing both native 1080i and 720P. It also has RGB inputs (Sony doesn't), as well as component YPbPr. The only thing it lacks is a line doubler for standard NTSC broadcasts and a internal HDTV Tuner (The Sony has these features). The DishNetwork 6000 satellite tuner/HDTV receiver provides the Sampo with the HDTV capability for me.
BTW, this should be in the HDTV section of the HTF.
