Blu-ray fans should be dancing a jig by now:
- new BR releases looking as good as HD-DVD
- dual-layer BR releases apparently working and on the way
- PS3 arriving soon for $500-600
- Toshiba gets cocky by raising the price on it's best unit to $999
Wow...I'm glad I waited, this format war is giving me whiplash.
Samsung officially states their player will play BD-50. About time they said something.
Along with BD-J support and PQ improvements!
Wow. Very cool. It's nice that BD-J can be introduced via firmware into existing hardware! That might speed up my purchase of a BD player this fall...
Hee hee, Dave. I keep telling myself, "3rd generation," but I too am getting a little giddy. So many titles I'm holding off on on DVD already.
Though I'm just glad to see some more good news. It's been so much cheering for my team only to see fumble after fumble.
Wow, I'm very happy to have purchased that Sammy after all! Looking forward to the firmware enhancements.
