Sammy HCM-5525W VS Panny PT-53WX42 (1 Viewer)

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting one of these within a week or two...

I'd just to get some opinions on the two models... does either of them do anything BAD like upconvert stuff without the option of turning it off, etc. Also, does either one have a better picture.

I know the Samsung is 2" bigger and $200 more... but I'm not really concerned about either of those two stats... more worried about which model outperforms the other.

Joe,

I can't comment on the other but I have the Panny. I had it calibrated by Gregg Loewen about a month ago and the picture is astounding.
