I have a Sammy HLN507W DLP and I want to hook a computer up to it for some light gaming and surfing. The DVI input is already being used by my Sammy HDTV Directv reciever. I have tried the computer with S-Video (Geforce 2 card has s-video) and the picture is terrible. I am wondering if the VGA input would be better and if so what cable do I need. I have seen it referenced as a VGA cable and a D-sub cable.

Can someone tell me if the picture will be better and what cable I need....maybe a link to one????

Thnks.

Hooking the computer up to your Samsung DLP through VGA works great!
Don't use S-Video it isn't really intended for the resolution that your computer's video card can produce.

1) Connect your computer to the VGA input with a cable like this: VGA cable

2) Set your computer video card resolution to 1280 x 720.

3) Set your Samsung's VGA input picture mode to either WIDE PC or EXPAND.
