If I remember correctly the score of AOTC is supposed to street in April? My question is is it safe to buy the first release or will there be another 2 CD-Set released latter as was the case with TPM?

I don't know about a future 2-CD set, but the current CD is amazing. I personally prefer the AOTC score over the TPM score. Here is the track listing (track names may contain spoilers):

    1. Main Title And Ambush On Coruscant
    2. Across The Stars (Love Theme)
    3. Zam The Assassin And The Chase Through Coruscant
    4. Yoda And The Younglings
    5. Departing Coruscant
    6. Anakin And Padme
    7. Jango's Escape
    8. The Meadow Picnic
    9. Bounty Hunter's Hot Pursuit
    10. Return To Tatooine
    11. The Tusken Camp And The Homestead
    12. Love Pledge And The Arena
    13. Confrontation With Count Dooku And Finale
    14. On The Conveyor Belt (Bonus Track)

Have no doubt that there will be another version of the Clones soundtrack, probably just like the one released for Phantom Menace in 2000.
From what I've heard, the movie is anywhere from 2:15 to 2:30 long, and a huge majority of the movie is scored (I've even heard that there will only be ten minutes of the film total without any score). Obviously, with the soundtrack clocking in at under 80 minutes, that's going to leave a bunch of stuff out.
All that said, however, I'd still pick up the official soundtrack next week. If it is anything like what they did with the original Episode I soundtrack, there will be some stuff on it that still won't make it into the eventual Deluxe version--things like concert versions and alternate cues and whatnot. Also, keep in mind that it'll probably be another year and a half (if they do what they did before) until we see a new version. This score is too good to wait a year and a half for, in my opinion.
Buy it and love it for now, is what I say. [IMG]

Another question is are we going to buy this CD and turn right around and want the SACD?

Please note that you MUST buy the soundtrack at Walmart... The Walmart copeis have an exclusive 4 minute bonus track, On The Conveyor Belt.

    Roland,

Put it this way - there's a 2CD set of every movie so far. You decide if you want to buy it. I'm personally going to WAIT and see if an SACD or 2CD version comes out later. I'm not getting suckered into buying 2 copies.

Are any of the tracks major spoilers like Qui-Gon's Funeral
from Phantom Menace? If so which tracks are they. Hopefully I can look at some of them while avoiding the spoilers. It pissed me off that I knew Qui-Gon was gonna die
just from reading the track listing.

    Rob,

That wasn't THAT much of a surprise. Anyway, there are no track names that are spoilers, but the music at the end of the film MIGHT give something away. It's hard to explain without filling in enough puzzle pieces to sort of allow you to figure it out for yourself, and that would be spoiling it.

Ok, I started listening to clips at cd now and finally decided just to look at the tracks and there are no major spoilers. I did look at Walmart.com and there is no mention of the bonus track On the Conveyer Belt. Is it widely confirmed that they will have this bonus track?

I suppose that as long as John Williams didn't use any offensive notes in his score, the Walmart version might not be doctored in some way. Sorry for the Sarcasm (TM), but I'm personally boycotting their CD department after being burned twice by their "clean versions".

Me, too. I'm just plain scared to buy any CDs at Wal-Mart because who knows what they've messed with to appease the sensitive Wal-Mart customer base. I figure it's just a matter of time before the R-rated DVDs are replaced by Wal-Mart PG versions...

Rob: Let me put it this way... it's confirmed that everywhere else WON'T have this track. So, I'm gonna pick it up from there and see what happens.
Fortuneately, there's no lyrics to "clean up"[IMG].
