Thursday has already been much more active with probably some bulk buyer(s) with 150 units sold by noon . A number of items (over 10) have already sold 5/10/15+ units ea including wiping out 25 units of those 2 re-stocked items.

Must have been some kind of psychic wrinkle. I was going over my main TT file and moved Cutters Way to sold out yesterday and then realized it hadn't sold out yet an hour ago AND now it's a race to see if it can sell out before Tony Rome.

I'll put the best in context as yesterday was an awful numbers day. Only 80 units sold all day.

On the other hand, at least it's not adding significantly to their backlog. I would guess that many people who had titles they really wanted to ensure that they got already ordered them by now. Not that there won't be any sales between now and the end of the month, but I know I took care of the ones that were most important to me at the beginning of the sale, and my subsequent purchases have been more curiosity blind buys. I've liked all of the blind buys so far, but it's a different sort of thing to get those, in terms of priority level, than the things I already knew I liked and really had to have, which I snapped up at the beginning.

No doubt people that most wanted their items got them, but even after the 1st 8-9 day massive rush, the sales had sort of fallen into a steady 170-250 per day pattern for the most part (with a slow steady overall down trend) so only 80 in a day was a bit of a shock. The 2nd slowest day was around 140 so more than 40% worse than the next slowest day and roughly half of the 3rd slowest discounting one day where my numbers for 2 days bled into each other so the split was 14hr/34hr

Over the last several weeks I have turned into a big fan of Vincent Price and almost did a blind buy (something I rarely do), but since it is available online I went ahead and watched it first. Having seen it, I must say I would not have regretted a blind buy.

After Wednesday's painfully slow day, it appears the resellers my be picking up again as groups of 5/10 units of several titles seem to sell at the same time rather than a few units of random items. From 80 unit Wed, it jumped back to about the average daily low 200's on Th and Fr and already 270 since 3am ER. Another 40-50 total today will put it back to the best day in over 2.5 weeks

Not really sold out, but just kind of GONE.
Mid afternoon I was actually on the site updating numbers and suddenly THE CHASE and BOBBY DEERFIELD became "Unable to process '[MOVIE]' in your order, remove this item from your cart." There were 61 and 140 units available seconds before, then the whole listing disappeared and the link in my Wish List just shows ERROR 404 -- the normal Wishlist item is still there, but the link goes nowhere (like April Love and Whirlpool though those did sell out at least twice before the site zapped them). This is completely different that an item that sells out does so 200 Units ofr inventory has now disappeared.

Not sure if those two are now history or if IT will restore them at some point, but the older two items still haven't returned to their normal archive page even 10 days later

Somewhat of a milestone. Finally every title is under 1000 units available. Mother Wore Tights was the last holdout and dropped to 999 units last night.

BOBBY DEERFIELD also returned to the list with the same number it disappeared with Sunday, but dropped to $6.95. THE CHASE is still MIA, but I'd expect it to reappear in the next couple days

And odd things just keep happening.

The Quiet American appears to have sold 45 copies in an hour and now list OOS at TTM. At least this listing is acting like a normal sold out title and not just showing up Error 404.

OTOH, as good a movie as it is it just doesn't seem to be a title that someone would buy as a 50 unti bulk purchase

Of course it did. I bought it for my friend from Screen Archives at higher item and shipping cost after it disappeared from TT the first time. What do you know?

I wonder, did they just find 42 copies lying around the warehouse or something? That seems an awfully large number to have been cancelled due to declined credit cards or whatnot, and of course they're not accepting returns.

I haven;t figured where they Revivals are coming from. With something this big, I'm guessing they had a box in inventory that hadn't been counted or was mislabelled as a different title and they found it while packing other orders. The 1-3 item returns make cancellations more likely that it still interesting only half dozen of the 70-80 items that went OOS after then clearance started have returned from ordering and NONE of those that went OOS that first Sunday/;Monday -- only those items from later have popped back up.


And BOBBY DEERFIELD now back to 11.95
