For anyone who already has it, is Carla's Song in a blue keepcase or one of the clear ones? I'm not sure when they released that relative to when they switched over to the clear ones.

I heard back from Twilight Time about whether or not they could add two empty cases to my pending order. They can't, because "it requires too many manual adjustments which aren't possible to do under the current shipping conditions." That's fair. But that means if I want the two clear cases to make my whole collection uniform, the total cost would be $6.93, including $5.93 shipping, for two cases that together are $1 worth of merchandise.

I’m willing to bet if you don’t spend the extra 11 bucks that you’ll soon be staring and staring...and s-t-a-r-I-n-g...at those shelves of near perfect uniformity. In time you will become fixated. And yes, even insanity will creep in. People will come over your house and, instead of commenting on how good you made their coffee; or what a nice fish bowl you have; or what a nice view of the mountains you have; or what a nice stack of pancakes and syrup you’ve just made; or what a nice painting you’re working on; or what a killer job you’re doing on rebuilding that engine; or what a sweetheart you’re Golden Lab is; or what a great gig you’ve got out here. No. None of that. THE absolute first thing that’ll come out of their mouths will be, “How come two of your Twilight cases are blue?”

And then Jake will begin to explain and tell his story of pent up frustration for the 8th or 17th time; as always told to each and every of his prior guests; about how he didn’t want to spend an extra 11 bucks, but how he now regrets it. Perfection was before him. And. He. Blew. It.

Later, Jake’s 8th or 17th guest has left to meet some friends at a bar. Upon entering, the others who are already there begin to ask, “Why are you so late?”

“I just came from Jake’s and I feel so badly for him”, replies the latecomer.

One of Jakes prior guests answers, “Don’t tell me...the blue cases, right?”

“Yah, how did you know?”, asks the latecomer.

Another from the group jumps in and exclaims, “I have it on good authority that Jake is planning to go on eBay and place a $180 bid on just one of those titles, and it’s only so he can get that clear case”.

“But why didn’t he just buy those two cases when he had the chance?”, asked another from Jake’s circle of friends.

“Didn’t you know?”, chirped in another.

“Know? Know what?”, asked the latecomer.

And then the waitress, who happened by, leans in and whispers, “Jake’s a cheapskate”.

P.S. I hope this helps.:P

Well, I went ahead and did it.

This is technically one more "final order" from TT, although it doesn't have any discs in it. So my final order with discs in it was June 1, which they're saying will ship by July 7. Then four weeks after that they'll send me another box with two empty cases in it. Not terribly efficient, but oh well.

I looked at my TT shelves and counted the ones with blue cases: 98. I was thinking that maybe in the next couple of days I might just buy as many of the clear cases they have up to 100. $50, plus shipping.

So, tell you what, Jake. I'll take pity on you, and assuming that I don't need the extra two (since some might end up breaking in transit), they're yours.

The only problem is that their website scripts are awful. One can't just enter how many copies one wants, and check out. One has to increase the quantity one at a time and wait for the page to update before bumping it up again by 1. I'm not sure I can handle doing that 100 times.

(I was thinking that if I do this, I'll take the blue cases I swapped out and use them to swap for the clear cases for my Cohen titles, since they started out using clear cases, and then inexplicably switched to blue ones. Then I'll have to figure out what to do with those clear cases. Being a collector is definitely not for the faint of heart.)

By the time the clear cases arrive the store will sadly be closed. Hopefully neither will be cracked. :D

I didn't see his comment before I posted mine. So, I'll amend my offer. If I end up ordering cases, and have two good ones left over, and you need one or both of them, Jake, you got 'em.

Thank you, but since I just ordered them I should be good now. Hopefully. I'll probably forget about it costing that much, eventually. I'll let you know if they come through damaged, but I'm hoping it should be okay. For $5.93 shipping, they'd better protect them. For those of you who have ordered empty cases with them before, do they come shrinkwrapped or not?

Would you believe that I actually asked them about adding two clear cases to my final discs order last month? They said that they were completely out of cases at that time. I guess they just found an extra box after I placed my final discs order, which incidentally is still awaiting shipment. Oh well.

Again an odd day even among odd days. A high sales day with nearly 450 units sold but due to Forever Amber, Dragonwyck, and Husbands and Wives returning a large number of units the overall daily total sale was again negative -- Net (-224)

I suspect with the enhanced sale starting JUly 1 and the new titles being added, I suspect an incredibly strange set of numbers again

I've decided not to order any cases. The way they have their scripts written, I can't just plug in a number for the quantity wanted. I have to increase the quantity from "1" to "2" and wait for the page to refresh, rinse and repeat. Too much of a pain in the ass.

That's funny; I didn't notice that last night when I ordered mine, but you're right. I guess it's like that because they are used to selling discs, and people buying large quantities of the same title is probably pretty rare. Then again, I only needed the two cases so it wasn't a problem to increase the quantity to 2, but that would've gotten really annoying if I had wanted to get several.

Not sure I understand -- TTM I can just add an item to the cart and change to whatever quantity I want, Click/highlight the Quantity in Cart and change it directly to 10/50/100 then checkout, That the way I usually do it to check Movie Quantities -- add to cart and then change directly to 1000 if I needed

Or from this page -- https://www.twilighttimemovies.com/transparent-1-disc-blu-ray-case/
Just highlight the 1 (left click and drag across the 1 ) and change to whatever number you want. Or even click the 1 and type in the numbers you want/delete any excess numbers

Looks like 96 is a max -- I'm assuming that's their inventory count

I just tried it, and yes, that works. Weird, because the previous times I tried it, there wasn't enough room to make it easy to write over the quantity. Not sure why.

On edit: So I ordered the 96 available cases: cost $48. Estimated shipping with the lowest-cost option was $55.xx, basically doubling the cost (so roughly a buck apiece). Decided I didn't want to spend that much, so I deleted them from my cart.

I don't blame you -- I had a hard enough time justifying $5.93 shipping on a $1 order when I bought the two cases last night. That's an insane markup but I rationalized it by saying that it's still a small amount of money relative to what else I have spent at TT during the sale. I would not have been able to have that line of thinking if the shipping cost had been $55.

The only thing I regret is mismanaging the sale because I kept finding more things I wanted at different times, rather than just doing one big order at the start of the sale, which would certainly have saved me a lot in combined shipping. So I should have shopped smarter, for sure. That being said, I have enjoyed the discs I've gotten in so far very much and am looking forward to the two more which should ship sometime next week, so at least everything has been a very good purchase.

BANDOLERO sold out on Thursday making it the 2nd disc to sell 1000 units for the Clearance Sale and the
only item to do so without some extra help. THREE COINS IN A FOUNTAIN PASSED 1000 a couple days ago, but had
the extra $5 off code from much of that first crazy week and sold over 700 copies which the code was active.
