Hello all. I was one of the very first to review this fine rec. and I got bashed pretty bad also, but no harm done. Well it seems it is pretty popular now. Now to the point. I used mine almost every day for over a year for movies and music. I have been pretty pleased, but I think like some of you say it is a new thing, these digital amps. Well not to go into great detail I tried my tech. sa-da10 and the panny back and forth for a while, as the panny was starting to seem a little harsh to my ears. The technics is a great rec. but has its weaknesses also.I guess what I am trying to say is I finally opted to get the onkyo tx-sr502 and that is what I am using now. What's all this mean, nothing except maybe my ears have changed, or like some said I wanted it to sound better. No bashing please, as I am just giving my opinion after over a years usage.
