I am trying to make a decision on speakers to go with my HK325 and AS SW15.

I can get the speakers for the following prices, no shipping:

S26 = 150 pair
S26II = 200 pair
S36 = 250 pair

I could afford a 7.1 setup if I got the S26 or a 5.1 with the rest.

What is the difference between the S26 and the S26II, besides being newer? Would it be worth it to jump up to the 3 way S36 and sacrifice the extra channels on the 7.1.

All help is appreciated.

I was under the impression that the only changes made with the "II" series was the color and the protection for the tweeters. Personally I'd do the 5.1 with the S36's over 7.1.There's just not enough 7.1 or even 6.1 material to warrant it.

JBL S26 as the best speaker on most clips said:
So, IMHO, the JBL S26 2-way will satisfy your auditory senses. :emoji_thumbsup:
FYI: My Video Essentials REFERENCED Calibrated JBL S26 / S-Center blended very well with my AudioSource SW15 (now using SVS 25-31PCi / moved my AudioSource SW15 up to my vacation house with my JBL NSP1))!

There's no difference between the S26 and S26II other than cosmetic. But, go with the S36.
