s video to composite converter (1 Viewer)

I know someone with a satelite dish.He does not have an s video jack on his tv.
Would an s video to composite converter like this one http://www.radioshack.ca/estore/Prod...log=RadioShack help the picture quality or not ?

Not really.

The satelite signal is sent already separated. But the video signal gets mixed together for both:

- The composite output
- The RF output (CATV coax connector)

In both of these cases the video quality now depends on the Comb filter in the TV. Since the Comb filter is the same in both cases, using the SVideo->Composite adaptor will give you zero advantages.
