S Video or Component Video Output (1 Viewer)

i am running a panasonic dvd s-35 player into a toshiba 50gx20b television. the dvd has component out and the tv has component in. would i notice a big difference going with the component setup over the S video which i am currently using. thanks

For some discerning videophiles, there's a huge jump in quality and color purity when transitioning from S-Video to Component Video (and, in my case, that even bears out on my bedroom set, a 27-inch direct-view). Others, however, see little if any difference.

Rule of thumb: Always use the better connection scheme. Go with Component Video.
