If you are a fan of the late, wonderful Richard Mulligan, snap this up. He's freaking hilarious. Plus, this was William Holden's final film before he died as the result of a (rumored) drunken stupor in his apartment, during which he passed out, cracked his head on the corner of a table and bled to death.

I agree with Dick. The movie as a whole is mixed, with some of the performances and satire very funny and some a little over the top. But Richard Mulligan was such a gifted performer and this was his only real starring role in a movie. He is outstanding here in the way that always made him special--he played absurd slapstick with absolute credibility.
