I just read about the CoolEdit clip restoration procedure described in the other thread. There is one step that directly contradicts the CoolEdit documentation for clip restoration. The documentation says do NOT fix the DC before doing clip restoration.
Dang....I'm going to have to do it over again...
So the procedure would be...
Convert to 32 bit
Run clip restoration
Remove DC offset
Run Waves L2 Ultra Maximizer
Convert back to 16 bit and save
Or do the DC offset after the waves L2 Ultra Maximizer?
