CNN just reported that Turner Network Television is being "repurposed" and will now consist solely of repeated broadcats of the hit action/comedy Rush Hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Alright, maybe not quite yet, but I think the announcement is probably inevitable. Honestly, I've never seen a channel show the same movie so often. It's on every weekend without fail. My question is, if they show it at the same time every week, does it count as a series? Could Jackie Chan win an Emmy, or, failing that, a Cable ACE Award? I'm sure he's got his fingers crossed.

Turner does this with a bunch of movies. It is not just with Rush Hour.

They can't show "rush Hour" twenty four hours a day. That would leave no room on their schedule for "Beastmaster."

Did they finally stop showing The Shawshank Redemption everday? At least that's a good movie, Rush Hour is my least favorite film.

Don't Forget "The Breakfast Club". It comes on TBS at least 3 times a month. Back to the Future is another one.

But, If there is nothing else on, I usually end up watching The Breakfast CLub or Back to the Future on sunday afternoons.

    Later
